Welcome to my Website. It has no eye-catching graphics, no spectacular special
effects, nothing that will skyrocket it to the top of the Internet charts. Rather,
this place is intended as a meeting forum for friends, family, and fellow runners.
You are welcome to browse through it, and even more welcome to send me your comments
and ideas. If you're a runner, I'd love to hear from you.
This site was created May 14, 2001. The Running Page is updated (almost) daily.
Oct. 10 2001: The Crosswinds uploading service is back up so my running

Jan.4 2002: Part of the 2002 training program has been uploaded. It includes only the running workouts and all of the events I plan to attend this year. (Nov 12 2006 - link removed)

April 18 2004: I had a page for why I run., but nothing about triathlon's deeper meaning. Well, now I've just changed that! Check out Triathlon Life Lessons
July 29 2004: I've finally had the courage to do it! I've signed up for the 2005 Ironman Lake Placid ! Only 362 days to go! In the meantime, I'll be inspired by the most amazing ad I've ever seen: See Lance Ride .
November 1 2004: Photos have arrived! Check the 2004 Trip to Egypt page in the next month or so. I'll be uploading them daily. Also some new photos of the Timberman Tri .
December 11 2004: A new short - very short - reading on the Readings page.
May 22 2005: New quotes are up, including a running one.
September 28 2005: I am back after an incredible and profound voyage to Spain. Well, my body is back but my heart is still in Spain. The running journal is updated almost daily.
December 19 2005: A new quote on the Quotations Page.
December 26 2005: Finished work throughout the website in preparation for 2006. The 2005 Running Journal is here, there are more new quotes, the site map is gone, and Life So Far has new books as well as two changes that I challenge you to find! I'll be updating the Favourite Links page over the next week.
February 4 2006: A new quote is up on the Quotations page.
June 13 2006: Photos from the Mooseman Half-Ironman are posted.
July 31 2006: The St. George Long Distance Triathlon race report is up.
September 13 2006: The blood, sweat, and tears of my brutal day at Ironman Canada are all detailed here .
October 9 2006: Happy Thanksgiving! Be thankful for everything you've got! Including triathlons in hurricanes in Long Island, New York. The website will be on its annual hiatus until January 2007.
January 1 2007: Happy New Year! The 2007 Running Journal is now up, and there are some new quotations on the Quotations page. As for other website updates, I got wildly creative this year and changed the font!
March 27 2007: The South Africa travel page is up. I'll try to post updates daily while I'm there. And decide at the last minute whether I'm running 56km or 21km.
September 8 2007: it took a while, but the Ironman Canada race report and the photos are finally on the site.
September 15 2007: More BC photos. Lots and lots of them, in fact.
September 15 2007: Finally - it only took four months - all the photos from the South Africa trip are up! Including me bungy-jumping.
September 16 2007: Busy busy busy, on the website anyway. A new quote .
October 14 2007: Did you notice the little wildcat icon in the page titles and address bars? There are also photos from a spectacular run in Banff posted.
January 6 2008: How to start the year right: in London! Photos of a great New Year's trip are here.
July 8 2008: Only two weeks until Ironman. I hope it goes half as well as the Tinman did. The race report and photos are posted.
July 19 2008: The pre-race ramble for Ironman is here did. I'll try to get a race report up soon after the event, but it might take a few days.
August 3 2008: Rain? Did someone say something about rain? They sure did at Ironman Lake Placid this year. The race report and photos are up. I also added an article that makes a good link between whiskey and triathlon. Seriously.
August 4 2008: What a way to spend a day off: updating the website. Here's a new page with technical articles about training.
June 9 2009: The first race of the year and race report for the Mooseman Half-Ironman . Hopefully all my other races are better than this one.
July 28 2009: Lake Placid without the rain! It is possible! The Ironman Race Report .
Aug 16 2009: Photos and a summary of the time trial, triathlon, and half-marathon at the World Police & Fire Games in Vancouver here .
Oct 8 2009: In less than a week we're off to Japan and South Korea for adventure and a marathon.
